Marek Hecko, 26, has been found guilty of the murder of Adrian Ellingford, 44, at a property on Nelson Grove in Chelmsford in July 2022.

Mr Ellingford, a married father of two young boys, was seriously assaulted in the early hours of 25 July – he later died from multiple stab wounds.

Hecko returned to the scene of the murder hours after the fatal attack, approaching one of the two police officers who was guarding the crime scene.
